New Hampshire Second District congressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a news conference today, Thursday, August 4th to criticize New Hampshire House Speaker Sean Jasper for barring Americans for Prosperity from using the State Legislative Office Building. Andy links the “Jasper dictatorship” to Andy’s primary opponent, Jack Flanagan. “My primary opponent Jack Flanagan helped Jasper cut a dirty deal with the Democrats to become Speaker and Majority Leader,” Andy says. “Jasper and Flanagan made a corrupt bargain with Governor Hassan and a united Democratic Party. Jack Flanagan helped Sean Jasper corrupt the political process in Concord by reversing the voter’s decision. Now he has the arrogance to try and extend his corruption to Congress, where he can hope to become a ‘Pelosi Democrat.’ Jack Flanagan is unfit to be a candidate of the Republican Party and must be rejected by primary voters. Likewise, Mr. Jasper needs to go to ‘reeducation camp’ to learn that New Hampshire is still the ‘Land of the Free.’ In New Hampshire free speech is still sacrosanct and inviolate. We let everyone speak freely, even in government buildings. Even those with whom we disagree.”

(Manchester, NH) (August 4, 2016)  New Hampshirecongressional candidate Andy Martin will hold a news conference today, August 4th, to criticize New Hampshire State House Speaker Sean Jasper for barring Americans for Prosperity from using a Legislative Office Building (“LOB”) meeting room to hold a meeting (please see Union Leader link below). “I myself have used the LOB to conduct political business,” Andy says. “I thought New Hampshire was still the Land of the Free and free speech by political candidates of all viewpoints was protected.

 

“Two years ago New Hampshire Republicans elected a Republican Party majority in the State House. But Sean Jasper and Jack Flanagan cut a corrupt deal with Governor Hassan and Democratic Party leaders to override the Republican Party caucus and to place Jasper and Flanagan in power. Jasper and Flanagan nullified the Republican majority voters had elected by selling their loyalty to the Democrats.

 

“GOP primary voters need to know the truth. The liberal media in this state such as WMUR and the Concord Monitor are trying to deceive Republican primary voters into thinking Flanagan is a legitimate candidate. When you stab your own party in the back, you forfeit your honor and legitimacy as a leader. When Flanagan goes around the state campaigning for Congress he neglects to inform voters that he participated in the dirty deal to destroy his own party. He neglects to tell voters he took orders from Governor Hassan to bankrupt the state by imposing Barack Obama’s Medicaid expansion on New Hampshire.

 

“Jasper has now barred Americans for Prosperity from using the LOB. What’s next? The State House grounds will be closed to Jasper’s opponents? Jasper is taking on the trappings of a Middle East dictator.

 

“I signed the Americans for Prosperity Pledge (not mentioned in the Concord Monitor story) and I would have been at the meeting where Jasper evicted AFP from the LOB but for the fact I had a schedule conflict.

 

“New Hampshire Republicans in the Second Congressional District have a way they can protest against Flanagan’s and Jasper’s dictatorial ways (Flanagan stepped down as “majority leader” to run for Congress). They can vote to defeat Flanagan and vote for me, to send a common sense a conservative, a reformer and New Hampshire’s leading corruption fighter to Congress. Voters should ‘just say no’ to the dirty dealings of the Jasper/Flanagan axis.”
